BHA lever gun threaded in 500 S&W. Heck I even bought 1000 XTPs in 500 s&W from midway factory seconds. I find other than the threading, my preference is plain bone stock. Now granted, if I was a billionaire, I would get it color case hardened. I don't need an octagon barrel I think I am going with their 18 inch barrel and calling it good.

I well realize that its not in the same power league, but I've got a Winchester lever in 44 mag and its a great rifle. Big pistol calibers are very capable in short carbines. Anxious to hear how this works out for you..!!

Presumably one could also run the .500 JRH (aka .500 Special, .500 Short) as well in this rig. It could be quite versatile.
Yeah, I am thinking I may try that. If they don't feed right I use them in the encore. It isn't like they would go to waste.

It's probably weird, but I don't really want the revolver for this round. Maybe someday, but I have a couple 12 gauge wrist breakers. The shortest being the 8 inch barreled beast. I just think this lends itself to a rifle. If I did a pistol, it would probably be a 12 inch encore barrel.

I had a 5" S&W revolver with the comp. It wasn't too bad in recoil until the loads got really stout. It pushed straight back more than twisting the wrists.
