FINE… just ruin it for me.
There was a post a couple years ago about this, dude was talking about bringing all that sh1t for a trip to Seaside or something. He was obviously more excited about role playing and fantasizing about "going to war" than spending the weekend with his family. His post stuck with me, but in a weird sad kind of way. :D

Yes, I do hope that I actually never even have to use my firearm in a self defense situation. That would be the best outcome of all! As my grandmother used to say about sweaters, "It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it." I may change what I carry later on as I get more experience. But it will do for now. 😊
And sweaters conceal guns well.

Those gangs in seaside are getting bad I hear:

I think the chances of being in a self-defense situation and needing to change mags to keep sending rounds is highly unlikely. But carry whatever loadout makes you comfortable. Hopefully you'll never have to use it.
I've been carrying for a long time in and around Portland. The only times I really thought I might need my gun involved dogs!
I could go the rest of my life without pulling my gun again and be cool with that.

Depending on location I carry either a S&W M&P 2.0 with 17 + 1 or a Sig P365 with 12 + 1. I used to just keep a spare mag in the glovebox, but these days I've started to pocket carry an LCP as well.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn so I figure I'm entitled to a New York reload.

Does constant conceal carry hurt our backs?
It can certainly aggravate existing conditions or past injuries. I have found balancing weight makes a significant difference in comfortable carrying even with more weight. For example, I have comfortably carried two of the same guns (Glock 19s) in opposite hand AIWB holsters with a single mag in the middle at 12 o'clock with holsters on each side, while a single holster at ~4 o'clock with a pair of mags at ~11 o'clock to be miserable on my lower back. If I was wearing a shoulder rig I'd much rather have two guns over one gun and two mags because of the balance is more comfortable.

Normally a sub compact with the normal capacity mag in the pistol and two full size capacity mags for backup. An example would be a G26 with two G17 backup mags. If a visit to lovely downtown Portland is required, a full size with a normal capacity mag in it and "high capacity"mags for backup.

I may have carried a G17 and three 33 rounders for backup in the past. Those AR15 pistols in a bag work well too when you visit downtown portland….. a friend told me once.

I usually carry a full size 9mm with a couple extra mags. Same with a 1911. If 114 passes it will be my 1911 and two mags, so 25 rounds total. If it's my snubby Python, 357 mag and one speed loader of 357 mag. The Hornaday American Gunner 125 grain seems to function the best. 38 specials don't. Especially range ammo.
