Truth. I think that may be a lot of the draw towards them for many folks. The original purchase doesn't break the bank and overtime with so much aftermarket support you can really make it "yours."

So... turn it into a Shadow Systems?



I only own one Glock, the Glock 22. It's definitely a solid gun. I bought it used and it's one of those FDE colored ones. Turns out (unbeknownst to me when I bought it) it is some sort of limited edition "RTF with fish gill slide grips". Despite all of that, it is ugly in my eyes. In fact, I find most plastic striker-fired pistols ugly. Three of my last four purchases/trades have been stainless steel revolvers. The other was a Springfield SA-35. I just can't muster any more enthusiasm for the striker fired guns. I've got the Glock, two S&W's and a Ruger. That will have to do.

Mostly a glock guy. Have had many of various calibres but 15 years ago streamlined to 9mm.
I have big and small thin and thick models.
However I am continuously in awe of glocks inability/unwillingness to adapt.
Yesterday I began a venture in the ruger rxm realm....

They're ugly. Cheap. Comfortable to carry. Light. Always go bang. And I have no attachment to them. Mags are everywhere as well as parts. It's the standard every other striker fired gun is compared to.

I don't like shadow systems at all. lol.

I have two currently. One for carry, one for home defense. My carry is a stock G30S but I have ordered some night sights. Its loaded with Federal 230 grain HST in .45 AARP… Yes, Its a bit spicy but its one of the best compromises in power, size, weight and capacity that I can think of. Then I got a 10mm. It currently fills home defense duties with night sights and a light. I may do some other mods like a better trigger or a 9x25 barrel with compensator. These two are my 14th and 15th Glocks respectively. They just work.

Just 1 in one of those PCC rigs, as well as 1 Canik and 1 Shadow Systems, which are both design ripoffs of Glock, from what I understand. I'm not really a fan though. I see the value, but I'm much more a 1911/2011 guy. Grip angle of blocks are just horrible! I have to really push my hands forward and down to get a bead.

Canik are knockoffs of Walther, esp in regards to trigger.

The newer Mete/MC series are more like Sig in respect to sizes, while retaining Waltheresque triggers. IMO.

My Shield EZ has similar sights. No need for a flashlight to find that gun in a dark room!

They're a tool. And I want a tool that always works and needs minimal to zero maintenance. Reliability and dependability are number one for me. The fact that I get that for $350-$400 is a bonus.

I'm actually in the process of consolidating my Glocks all to the G19 or G45 size platform.
