Since WA went away from FFL-originated NICS checks and added additional state background checks, how many potential buyers cleared NICS and were found to be prohibited by WA records, that NICS didn't have?

Not sure.
I wonder how many prospective buyers said : Forget It ....when having to deal with all the PITA involved in buying / transferring a firearm...?

I know it has curtailed my buying , selling and trading for damn sure.
And I don't see how any of Washington's firearm laws have done a damn thing to stop / deter crime or keep people safe.

I know of a couple demographics that haven't changed their approach to remaining armed.

And they never will.

The latest version of BGC has been effective in catching stolen guns. Because part of the process now includes screening the gun involved on the National Stolen Gun List. If the serial number shows up there, the transaction is flagged "do not proceed" and steps are taken to recover the gun.

I thought all FFL's did this?

And that's what it is really about. Not stopping crime, but going after legal gun ownership as a whole. Same as when I lived in California, they chip away at the edges over and over again until your rights exist in name only but are nearly impossible to exercise practically.

ALL gun control has ALWAYS been like this. A LOT of gun owners refuse to see it because they don't want too. The same party that is all in on "gun control" is always all in and going soft of criminals with guns. Then they throw up their hands and say "we just need more gun laws".
