Holy [email protected] horrible..horrible..I didn't even mention the two bear species that will eat you, the cougars that will disembowel you, the wolves that'll eat you alive, and the bison that'll stomp a mudhole in your sorry self if you get off the path! And wind. OMG the wind up on the Highline is unreal. Cap all that off with the fact that you're sitting on the edge of what is likely the worlds largest volcano and it really is a damned unpleasant place!

I thought it was your testicles? My bad, that was at Gitmo.Make sure you hook your solar panels up to your nipples or your Tesla won't work.
I lived in San Antonio, TX for 5 years and I don't miss that scorching summer heat at all.Been triple digits for past 5 days here. We actually get a break Friday so looking forward to it. Light'em if you got'em........wait scratch that.
I don't have a clue what that means, but I'm looking forward to it!Climate Dome, where mooseknuckle meets science.
Fight!
Sexist.I thought it was your testicles? My bad, that was at Gitmo.
Maybe you can get by with one more 5000 BTU A/C? Cheaper ones at Home Depot are $169.00. I would probably spend $219 and get a 6000 BTU A/C, just to get a better (or at least better known) brand. I like my 8000 BTU from LG, I paid $300 a few years ago.I'm in a 52 year old single-wide with no insulation in the walls and one 6,000 BTU window A/C.
I'm not looking forward to this. At all.
In all seriousness, about a million bucks. No bull.Holy [email protected] horrible..horrible..
Wonder how much a few acres would be in western Montana..somewhere near a creek....hrm
Horrible I tell ya..
Yeah..I figuredIn all seriousness, about a million bucks. No bull.
That won't work in my bubblegumty old house. It would trip the breaker. The outlet I have the window A/C plugged into right now was custom installed when I had the ceiling replaced on it's own circuit. That, and I need a specific casement window A/C, which is hard to get and expensive for the output they give.Maybe you can get by with one more 5000 BTU A/C? Cheaper ones at Home Depot are $169.00. Something else I did when I lived in a much hotter climate is cover one side of a window-sized sheet of cardboard with aluminum foil. I stick the cardboard in the window when the sun is shining on it and I find it helps a lot to reduce the inside temperature (foil side facing out, of course). No cost, just the hassle of putting the foil cardboard in and out, and from the east side of the house (in the morning) to the west side (in the afternoon). At one time I had a severely undercooled house and the inside daytime temperatures rose to 85F. With the foil card board they dropped by at least 5F, maybe more, it's been decades since I had to do that. That won't work in my bubblegumty old house. It would trip the breaker. I've been thinking of a wall A/C and finding some contractor to install it, or a single-unit mini-split for $1,400 through HD. Either one would be way more powerful than my current window unit.
This might even call for frozen vodka.
Commendable!!!At 3pm I bumped the AC temp up to 62. You can't say I don't do my part.
Probably right over the Statesman-Urinal's office. My extreme left wing climate crisis loving Yahoo news 10-day forecast is only predicting a high of 103 during the entire period (Sat), and only 5 days of 100 or more.Where in Oregon is this heat dome supposed to be?
eta Vancouver will have 1 day over 100 for the next 10 days
