I want to see all of those generals and soldiers still loyal to the Republic to make up the backbone of the Peoples Army when Obongo wants to wage war against us. You can never take a warriors spirit away...their knowledge and insight is invaluable.

Here, it means RIF'd or fired.
While I prefer the later, either version of purged is no less concerning.

I think that the emperor has someone assigned to "take care" of each of these officers and many others when he thinks the time is right.
I have a hunch that these agents will be listening for the agreed upon code word and then it will be game on . . .

I hope and pray your wrong Sheldon. I have personally taken orders from some of these gentleman who have been canned by the CIC. I would gladly protect and serve them once again if the call went out.
