I reached out to my Congresswoman (Jaime Herrera Beutler) about the state of lawlessness in the country and the attack on the 2nd Amendment. Although she's made a few decisions that I don't agree with, she appears to be on board with protecting 2A. I am not sure where H.R. 38 is in the big scheme of things but I would imagine that would be a hard sell to some states. It would be a very welcome bill. Swalwell's (I can't even say that guy's name without throwing up in my mouth a little bit) H.R. 2959 I think would be a hard sell as well.

ME.....I would have simply stated.....
I believe in...........
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Yeah, Rrrrrright.....so, we need "permits"?

So anyway.... just call me "skeptical" about her stance on the 2nd A. Remember that old saying?

"You can always tell when a politician is lying to you because their mouth is moving."

Aloha, Mark

PS.........."It's just not true."

The 2nd Amendment according to the Liberals..…

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, unless I say it's reasonable and makes common sense to me."

There's an honorable and decorated combat veteran running against her in the next primaries…… vote her RINO arse out of there, or NOTHING will ever change.

Don't discount Gold Star widower Joe Kent. Heidi St John is trying to talk pro-Trump, but Kent already has the endorsement.

If we want to replace her, we need a unified effort behind two R candidates to push her to third--if she's second with another R the D's will close ranks with her RINO Quisling pals, if it's R-D with her in third said Quislingcuck Kapos will Go Blue. We need two solid R's 1-2, with her and the Dem 3 and 4.

Same with Newhouse and the rest of their ilk.

When I was a kid, we used to sing:

Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay
I met a chick today
I gave her 50 cents
to go behind the fence....

It gets a little less family friendly after that, but I prefer that rendition myself. 😋

Jaime Herrera Beutler is still better than anyone the Democrats will put up. If it gets down to her vs a Democrat, we will be better served by re-electing her than we would be by letting a Democrat get that seat. I'm guessing no-one who has posted here so far remembers how liberal Beutler's opponent in the 18 and 20 elections was. The dems will put up another hard left progressive and I guarantee you will be missing Herrera Beutler if the Dem wins. Primary JHB, but if she gets the nod again, don't be stupid. Vote for her.
Keeping her in that seat is far superior to having a democrat in it.

I agree. She is far from ideal, but the alternative Dem will be much much worse. I certainly hope there will be another person on the Republican side to give her a run for her money, but I will begrudgingly vote for her if she's all we have.

Question: Where do you guys draw the line for an R having crossed the line into "beyond-the-pale unacceptable"?

I'm not making this a personal attack, just raising a question that each and every one of us needs to think on and decide for ourselves

When he/she votes anti-gun. That is my single issue.

Her voting to impeach Trump meant nothing to me because Trump was never going to be convicted. A big miscalculation by her, but nothing cataclysmic.
So let me ask you-- Would her vote to impeach keep you from voting for her in the general election, even if it meant a hard left progressive would get the seat?

She's a Primary, not a Scorched Earth. That said, I believe nationwide we DO need to pick one backstabber or underperformer to Make An Example Of from each chamber every election cycle... Liz Cheney doesn't have enough seniority to be an example despite being literally spawned in the swamp.

I'm not opposed to getting a better candidate in the primary, but my question still stands:
Would her vote to impeach keep you from voting for her in the general election, even if it meant a hard left progressive would get the seat?

Being slightly or moderately better than the D, is the reason she keeps getting re-elected. We have been kind of stuck with a choice of the lesser of two evils.
