Back when I went to Montana on Amtrak, no firearms in bars and I think it was a Montana law that prevented them on the train itself that aren't packed. I could be wrong though.
Im always baffled by how many conservative states ban guns in bars, and many 2A supporters in those states support the idea. Its just another GFZ that serves zero purpose. Everyone gets that guns and alcohol dont mix, so dont drink if you go there when carrying, get a soda. its that simple.

I kept collectable handguns in a safe deposit box for years. When the bank was bought up by BofA, they wanted me to update my agreement with the new bank and I cleared out the storage. I was first with Crocker Bank and then with Security Pacific. both had good security agreements and when I was moving guns in or out I called ahead, and a security guard met me at my truck with a cart to roll stuff in or out. I had a box the size of the cardboard bankers box. For a higher fee they had lockers that would hold a long gun.
In the 80's when the economy was in a recession and stores were closing right and left, I bought a couple of large safes. And since store my own goods.

Not sure if this is legal as Oregon gun laws have changed, but i used to rent space inside a large vault at my local indoor shooting range, and store all my guns there, as i used to leave the U.S.A. for months at a time. maybe ask one of your local gun ranges if they have rental storage options?.

My post was meant to be humor in reference to slow gun sales.

And yes. I believe you are correct.
Gottca.......ha, ha, ha,...
I managed to sell a mess of guns over the last few years, 17 SKSs (including 2 Albanians and a Romanian), 3 Belgian A5s. Spanish 1916 Mauser NATO conversion, Ishapore 2A, and an Egyptian FN49, all through Calguns, only the Brownings went out of state, to an A5 whore in SC. Everything else was FTF in Kali at fair prices. Contrarily, I've had 2 SKS Paratroopers, set up kinda rare (almost new), hanging around for longer than I had thought they would. Saturday, at a wedding in Rathdrum Idaho, they both moved to a youngster who bought rifles from me before and knows the quality of my word (done on a handshake sight unseen I might add). Greed kills buys. PAX

I thought consignment guns technically were the property of the LGS to get them back you had to transfer back to yourself? PAX
That is exactly how it works. When a dealer takes a gun in for more than that day it has to go on his books. To give it back to the owner the dealer has to treat it just like a sale. So whatever hoops both state and Fed are there have to be jumped through. Not to mention if stolen? No idea how easy its going to be to get paid and who sets the "value" of the gun and when you get paid.
