"SACRAMENTO New sales of semi-automatic rifles with removable magazines would be banned in California under a bill passed by the Democratic-led state legislature on Tuesday, and those who already own such weapons would have to register them." MSNBC 9-10-2013. Instead of attacking the problem of crime in Kalifornia the liberal Democrats go after law abiding gun owners. Read the article and see if there is anything said about those that have a criminal pass will have to register their guns. Keep all of your ammo dry and be ready.

It is bigger that guns. Maybe they think that if they pass enough far left communist laws, no conservatives who would vote on other issues will move to the state. It works, I would not move there.

Our state has suffered enough over the last 30 years from the all the diseased down south that moved North.

The commies down there really deserve what they are going to get and get they will. Chicago is a prime example of what they get to look forward to.

It's quite simple for Democraps to attack the middle class with senseless gun control instead of criminals with guns , just like they do with taxes. They stress the MC with more and don't go after their own that owe millions.

A lot more happened in CA today than the AW ban. Lead free Ammo is required by 2017, expanded penalties for unauthorized accesses to your firearms, suspending state preemption for Oakland, banning 30 round magazines even if they have been permanently altered to ten rounds (because they are too long!), limiting the transfer of off-roster handguns to 2 per year, and requiring a firearm safety certificate for the purchase of all firearms.

There are about six more to be voted on before the end of their session this week. The governor must sign or veto the passed bills within two weeks or they become law anyway.

They need any help we can give them. The suspense of state preemption is something that is really scary.

Look at the upsides, there is now a conservative, pro-gun voting block that has enough money to move. This means all the nearby states will now have a crop of new taxpayers. California on the other hand will now have more houses available for sale to illegal aliens. It's really a win win. Now if only we can get all the libs to move back to california and out of OR/WA

Beleave it or not it is against the law to make a criminal register a gun. (Self incrimination)

Crime is not the problem. Non criminals with guns are what scares the politicians the most.

Absolutely correct. Once they have control of the guns, they can do as they wish without fear of resistance. CA is a test case for the nation.

this is where the gang bangers are doing some good (showing them that laws don't work the way they want them to) all they will do is just make more people criminals and no jail space to put them into.

I don't care what their political views, I'd appreciate it if everyone and everything from California would stay there.
