I am now the new owner of a Sig p250 (my first gun), and I am looking through tons of reviews and posts. I have ordered a foaming cleaner and Slipstream grease and oil. Now I need cleaning tools. The bore snakes look like a good quick option for post range shooting, but it doesn't clean as well as using a rod. I am sure there are differing opinions, but is there a great rod system that will last my lifetime? I don't care on the price because I will only buy one. Thank you folks.

I got one of these range/cleaning bags from cabelas. <broken link removed>

It hasn't done me wrong and has everything i need, for the time being.

I use a rod, a jag and cotton patches to clean the bore. Never had a need for a bore brush. That and a nylon "gun cleaning" toothbrush with bristles on both ends:

I use Hoppe's or Breakfree CLP as my cleaning solvent.
