I certainly believe that they contribute to the current disrespect in societal behavior today.
The behavior by school kids today, did not exist, when I was young. Guns were everywhere, we brought them to school after hunting in the morning before school, or planned to hunt after school. We kept them in our lockers at school, or in the pickup out in the lot. No one ever thought of using them in a criminal manner.
We could also mail order guns(prior to 1968) from the Monkey Wards or Sears catalog and have them sent to our homes.
That is why the narrative by this brainwashed kid(Hogg) in Florida, is so false. The Gov. is absolutely correct.

I think thats a bit of an oversimplification. The way kids grow up now and the media we are constantly subject too does influence our cultural values. This media desensitizes us, mix that with bad and neglectful parents who dont know how to establish authority and you get these problems. If parents cant raise their kids, then the media they consume will. And more often then not kids are not exactly consuming media that preaches kindness, self respect, and value for life.
Ide also say the news media plays a big part in glorifying the role of mass shooters and school shooters which can also have an influence.
But at the end of the day fault really lies with the parents and not the "porn" or "video games"

Simply the destruction of growing brains. They're not being mentally challenged to develop the necessary neural pathways. No wonder critical thinking and just thinking for yourself has hit such a low point.

The parents and the liberals teachers.
Working the picket lines in my career, I found the union inspired teachers, to be more vile and violent than those on the longshoreman picket lines. Angry teachers on picket lines will say or do whatever it takes to promote their agenda and are pathetic role models for their students, that see this outrageous activity.

This conjecture is no different that what people who vote for gun control believe. You have an emotional response to something, and you believe it because it feels good. I think you hit on an excellent point. Milestones in development are essential for the development of happy, healthy, functioning adults because those milestones form neural pathways that dictate a persons behavior throughout their entire life. Porn does mess with these pathways, violence in all forms of media messes with these pathways, lack of parenting/role models messes with these pathways. Its funny that even as we learn more about the brain and how it works, as a society we are less able to influence people and how they act. We have a society of young adults who at this stage haven't formed the healthy neural pathways that former generations would form in their preteens.
