Used it for years as a forwarded business line.

Had two business lines attached to cards I would hand out. When phone rang it said "Google Voice" so I knew it was from a business card. People had no clue calling any of my three phone numbers would go to my single cell phone. Same with text messages.

When I quit doing the business work I dropped the lines. I let them go back into Googles number bank.

Ended up picking up another one a year ago just for Craigslist ads. Which is nice. Your public number is never your private number.
