But it should be pointed out that Memorial day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

No greater sacrifice could they of given.

I'll remember with gratitude those who have given their all.
And I'll thank those who are still living for all they have done.
 
I ask most everyone I meet if they served. I then thank them with a handshake. Once I thanked a young man in uniform in the old GI Joe's, (yes he was active). He got a tear in his eye, and thanked me, saying I was the first to ever thank him.
God bless our troops! Thanks to them for their service, and to their families for their sacrifices.
