Hey now. Atleast they are consistent.Just got a Glock 47 with an Aimpoint COA issued by the agency I work for. I've shot Glocks since Gen 3, it's the same bubblegumty trigger lol
I think what sold me from my first encounter with one was the palm swell. It felt really great in my hand on top of the grip textureJust over 200 rds through it today. Ran awesome, but it is a glock. Even with the crappy sights, it was good. Accurate. The beavertail, palm swells and grip texture all made it so much better to shoot. I'm very happy with it so far.
Definitely my favorite point to it. It feel so much better in my hand than the Gen 5 G45.I think what sold me from my first encounter with one was the palm swell. It felt really great in my hand on top of the grip texture
You'll be waiting for awhile. Haha.I'll get one when they finally switch to DA/SA with a hammer, steel or aluminum frames and a trigger that doesn't feel like a lamp switch.
Nah, Glock listens to it's customers and makes regular changes to modify their platform to every users needs. You'll be waiting for awhile. Haha.
Their track record validates that statement 100 percent.Nah, Glock listens to it's customers and makes regular changes to modify their platform to every users needs.
I don't like the beavertail for looks, and just assumed I would hate that, but for actual shooting it was kind of nice. I have no issues with slide bites on the older ones, this just adds a more comfortable feel. The grip is nice. I hate the beaver tail though. I have a salient on the way that has a beaver tail and I'm trying to decide if I want to take a dremel to it or not. lol.
Shooting yes. Drawing from appendix concealed they are painful and get in the way. If I was running it OWB in a duty style holster I wouldn't mind the beaver tail at all.I don't like the beavertail for looks, and just assumed I would hate that, but for actual shooting it was kind of nice. I can see that. I haven't tried carrying it yet, as I have others for that. Definitely can see how that could create an issue.Shooting yes. Drawing from appendix concealed they are painful and get in the way. If I was running it OWB in a duty style holster I wouldn't mind the beaver tail at all.
When I draw my thumb runs right over the back plate. So with a beaver tail it's like a ledge that gets jammed into the middle portion of my thumb. It's legitimately painful.I can see that. I haven't tried carrying it yet, as I have others for that. Definitely can see how that could create an issue.
I can see that. I also run with my thumb across back for the draw. When I draw my thumb runs right over the back plate. So with a beaver tail it's like a ledge that gets jammed into the middle portion of my thumb. It's legitimately painful.
Plus I've noticed that guns with extended beaver tails for me personally are extremely uncomfortable to carry. I carry my gun pretty high above the waist band for quick access/full purchase on the grip and because of that the beaver tail jams into my ribs/stomach when bending at the waist or sitting in the car. Leaving wonderful bruises.
I'm sure the Gen 6 is great. I'm in no rush to get one but if I do I'll be removing that beaver tail or isolating it to only OWB use.
