Yes and no. I say this meaning There are varied outcomes from such. There are even slight variations between 3 and 4. Consider this, if it is your daily carry, you need flawless cycling. Would you chance life on uncertainty? Unless you had access to try it out before a purchase, it might be a unneeded expense.

I have heard that Glock says the Gen 3 upper will work on Gen 4 lower, but not Gen 4 upper on Gen 3 lower. Consider that. If they are not a completely interchangeable both ways, it should indicate a variation and incampatability. Enough so I wouldn't chance it.
