Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
If you have a CHL I recommend Masaad Ayoob's "In The Gravest Extreme".
Or if you're wanting a pure SciFi romp, "Monster Hunter International" by Larry Correia. Larry started the book as a thread on TheHighRoad.org. Pretty PG rated and the guy's first book, but good gun and monster stuff. You have to be in the mood though.
thanks for the suggestions everybody, unfortunately looks like the clackamas county library only carries one or two of them looks like I'll have to check out amazon.com
Two of my favorites: "Death in the Long Grass" by Peter Hathaway Capstick. Full of true stories about hunting in Africa. Also, "Heck, I Was There!" (the first word has been changed due to the no profanity rule on this site) by Elmer Keith. Elmer truly bridged the gap between the old west and modern times. And, he was the reason the .44 Mag came into existance. Both books are highly entertaining.
