Ever had to use one?

Ok so we all love firearms for one reason or another; collect, shoot competition, self protection....But have you ever had to use a firearm to defend yourself or family?

I am targeting CCW here, not LEO's or Military.

I had an experience with an agressive cougar a few years ago and was very glad to be carrying that day.
