Anyone ever hunt EE Wilson for qui and Eurasian Doves? I'm assuming that being a refuge non toxic shot is required. All the no. Toxic shot I see is 4 and bigger which is awfully big for those birds.
If anyone has advice or better yet experience hunting there pleas let me know.
EE Wilson is steel shot only. Even the onsite range is steel only. I've found tons of steel shot in sizes all the way down to 7 because of places like that. Sportsman's seems to have a decent variety.
With steel shot I like to use one or two sizes bigger than what I would use in lead.
You can get some okay dove hunting in September. You aren't going to have any luck with quail at EE. Not many birds and the blackberries make life impossible.
