Not trying to open a huge can of worms here I'd just really like to get everyone's opinion and/or interpretation on this.

Guy 1 sells guy 2 a firearm in WA, private party, no background check. Seller is definitely breaking the law, I think buyer might be too but not sure? I'm mostly wondering where the burden lies. Buyer, seller, both?

Same scenario with mags?

Not that I'm doing any of this, I've had hundreds of mags and a couple dozen semi autos b4 the ban, I'm just curious because of a conversation I had today with a coworker regarding this.

Without bogging down your initial thought.
All of us break laws every day, either intentionally or obliviously. So many dumb little laws are passed year after year, it's impossible for a normal person to know of their existence. The only reason most of us are conscious of gun related laws at all is because of the diligence in our own community. Police violate , misapply and misunderstand laws constantly. I bet even mediocre lawyers fail to understand or correctly utilize the laws in their chosen field.

So , what phukkin difference does it make???

You're right. I'd like to touch on your comment on due diligence.

Its so freaking funny how certain people look at us like lawless crazy maniacs, when really we are the ones following the law to a T and getting punished while these law breakers are getting light sentences

The BGC burden is on the seller, the buyer is free and clear to buy however they want. both. See post below.

Mags dont require a BGC, but state laws on capacity also only apply to the seller.

Both:

The classic turning common citizens into felons scheme because they want to put so many rules in the books like CA, so there's something they can hem you up on. Bulls**t on the highest order.
