Almost always have a light on me and also have a handgun on me as well, but have never had a light on my EDC CC handgun. Have light on nightstand gun.

Surefire has had their little XC-1 out for a while now and others have small lights too.

Considering adding a light to EDC CC firearm.

Your thoughts.

I do. I carry a Glock 19 and use a CMR-204 Rail Master Pro laser / light combo. I don't use the laser much, but the light is sufficient given its small size and conceal ability. I really like the setup.

I don't have a light on my EDC. I do have a small but very bright light I can use as necessary. My way of thinking is that if I am sweeping my house in the dark the light on my EDC screams "shoot at me here". With a hand light I can separate myself somewhat from the light source which which would make me a keen target. I practice one handed shooting regularly just to be sure I can do it. Come to think of it, someone enters my house I am turning on every light so I can to see any threat. Lasers? Now we are talking :) Just my opinion.

Hells no!

Why would I want to point my gun at everything I need to look at in the dark?.?.?.

I carry a flashlight with me though;)

No. I do keep a light in every place I may be. From big mag lights to small bright LED ones.

I don't. I do have a flashlight with me at all times.

2 flashlights in each car.
1 flashlight on me.
several flashlights throughout the house.

The FBI method of flashlight use is one that i use when sweeping the house. The Harries is good too but i like the idea of the light being away from the body/handgun. I know there are disadvantages of this method as well.

I always have a bright light in the car, but never on the carry gun.
I want to keep it small, then I would have to buy a new holster.

I was thinking I would pick up a light for my truck gun.

But if your in a self defense senario I don't see when a light would be needed. I'm not looking for trouble. It's for self defense and GTFO.

I also keep a TLR-HL on my night stand gun.

No attached flashlights. Lasers on the .380 and 9mm, not on the .45's. Like most of us, apparently, I carry a tiny yet powerful flashlight, a Lensor by Leatherman.

No, I have trained myself to see in the dark and move in the shadows....

In all seriousness though I believe you should make your civilian EDC as comfortable as possible and the extra bulk and weight of light is better disspersed to extra mag capacity in my opinion.

Agree with some others here that one of the many personal lights available on or near your person would be better option, but the attachment pictured below is a must for any truck gun....

Is that the new Gen 2 Noveske chainsaw?

Ever see the slasher movies where the heroine goes down into the basement?
My trick is to steer clear of dark spooky places and leave them for the SWAT team, or daylight. Off gun carry is a different topic

My EDC no.

My house pistol - yes - light/laser combo.

And yes, I have like 10 times more flashlights than pistols.
So everywhere a gun is kept, so is a hand held light.

No lights for me.
Hard enough to find a good left handed holster for a gun as issued , let alone find one that fit my gun and light.
Also I'm of the old fashion idea of a handgun needs to be handy and a light seems too bulky and screams "Here I am ".

That being stated I understand the idea of why a light , I'm just not into marking my position , too many years in the Infantry I guess ... LOL
