If so, what are you carrying it in? I am thinking of a high ride OWB leather holster or possibly a component to go with my Galco shoulder system. Looking for thoughts and ideas.

Not what I carry but I'm a big fan of 1791 gun leather. I see they make a bunch of BHP holsters including a Tanker style that IMHO would be old school cool.

Old suede lined leather Bianchi and Safariland thumb-break strong-side holsters, with the old classic Safariland jackarse rig occasionally thrown in the mix.
I never went Kydex for my Hi-Powers.

Back when I did, Galco didn't make a dedicated holster for the Hi Power. Walt at the then Baron's Den told me to use my Galco 1911 holster , and I did for awhile. I eventually made myself a forward cant OWB high ride holster and an SOB holster. Walt liked them enough that I had made him some leather stuff for antique firearms. I repaired the straps on a case or two of his as well that went with some antique firearms.

I used one of these

I EDC a CZ 75 Sp-01 and I use a T.Rex arms sidecar appendix holster. As long as you aren't sitting for long periods it's about as comfortable as it gets with a 5 pound pistol 😆

Kramer makes a great OWB but their current quality isn't what it was 10+ years ago.

Another holster manufacturer that always has great quality is Milt Sparks. I've found them to work well with Glocks, P35's and 1911.

Like many others I carry, I have a Garrett Ind. leather lined kydex

I don't carry a HiPower, but I sometimes carry a 1911, which is probably similar. (I used to carry it all of the time) I have a High Noon belt slider with a thumb break that I use for OWB and a Galco Summer Comfort open top IWB that I use. Put either on a good belt and it works all day long.
I'll echo the sentiments about 1791. I'm very pleased with the quality of the one holster I have. My only complaint is they are a little short on their firearm coverage. Otherwise I would have two of them. :D

I had to move both of my BH's out of CA, but I carried them in a high ride holster at the 4:00. I tried a shoulder holster but could never get used to it.
If you look at some of the older forums that let you go back into the 1990's posts the BH was pretty popular. DR

OWB leather for my high power and for 1911 heck for all my pistols , it is what I like best and to me is most comfortable , have a 1791 and Azula and a custom leather makers holsters , pretty much all the same style , I like the heavy thick bull hide with a sweat shield , high power has not been the every day carry for awhile though .

My most carried pistol, the holster is an old HBE 1911 holster, very comfortable now it's nicely worn in. I have a Versa Max 2 somewhere for it, but I didn't like the hard boned opening….
The BHP is so much slimmer than most other options, fits my hand like a glove, so it's the one I keep coming back to, over my red dot equipped polymer guns…

Another vote for Garrett. The best of both worlds for nicer guns where you want to maintain the finish.
