I did 3350TC on the Connies and D-C6's but there's nothing like the sound of a single row corn cob to make you turn your head.:D:D:D:D


I was working for Flying Tiger and Slick @ SFO in the 60's. Airlift Intl. bought out Slick and we started to see their DC-6's. What a PIA to get the cowlings on and off of. The Connies opened up like a banana peel. Beautiful airplane if you didn't mind being on a 16 ft. ladder to work on the OB engines.:D

I would not mind seeing a Connie. Never have seen one static even, just YouTube videos. A B-17 ride on the Madras Maiden in on my list for this year.

I follow some Fire Bombers on Facebook and will chase them on fires for photo ops. I got some distant shots and got to see Ericksons DC 6 # 66 drop on the Scoggins Creek fire back in 2014.
