Currently your legal reminder states a firearm sale within Oregon requires use of an FFL dealer... Can you clarify that to "requires a federal background check"? Oregon's SB 941 only requires a phone background check at gun shows for example.
All private party firearm sales across state lines or to residents of another state without the use of an FFL dealer are prohibited by Federal law. All private party firearm sales within both Oregon and Washington without the use of an FFL dealer are prohibited by state law.
Also might be more correct to relax the language to "FFL licensee" since out-of-state transactions with FFL collectors may be legal.
