I was able to handle one of the MechTech Glock pistol to rifle conversions and thought it was pretty cool. Be a fun camp gun.
It was for .45 caliber but I don't see whay a .22 LR would feel any different, nice balance and light weight. Kind of reminded me of the old Sterling 22's.

False.

Pistol -> Rifle = OK, no SBR

Pistol -> Rifle -> Pistol = OK, no SBR (if done correctly)

Rifle -> Pistol = Not okay unless SBR'd first Rifle -> gun that looks like a Handgun but is a legal registered SBR = Legal. There is NO legal way to turn a gun that is legally a "Rifle" into what is legally a "Handgun".

Rifle -> SBR = Fun

True

Back to the OP. If you found a 16" barrel you may need a recoil booster/Nielsen device because the slide might not actuate without assistance.

Little fix.
