Colt marked, 30mm Cantilever Scope Mount any good?

This is the scope mount that come on the Colt AR15 I just bought. Does anyone have any knowledge of them? I'm leery. Should I look into better.

If it works it works. Only way to find out is to take it to the range. I see more good reviews on it than bad.

But... If you want a good scope mount, look at ADM. Burris PEPR scope mounts are good for the money too, but ADM is better IMO.

I know Colt puts them on their rifles for use in 3 gun comps!

And I know the one I have works great, never a problem with it.

There is nothing wrong with it. Some people will scoff at it not being QD but if it serves your purposes it will be fine.

I have to agree. At least on the QD.
My only concern is the rings have just one fastener per side. 64 in/lb/screw "should be" plenty. Short of that, the quality is comparable to the best high dollar mounts.

My researching scope mounts (these days) find that a minimum of two screws/side seem standard. I think I'll give it a go. The price was right. QD is not a concern. I can always change it out, later if need be.

I bought some $20 eBay mounts... They worked as good as $100 mounts.

No reason this won't work fine for you.
