We have to acknowledge the fact that this is never about saving lives and it is predominantly about control. If it were purely about saving lives, the most logical thing to do would be to look at where the most lives can be saved compared to what is killing people - they never do that, they consistently go after what are statistically almost irrelevant numbers of deaths in this country compared to other causes of death.

The life saving angle is just what they use to get their minions to follow them because they are too gullible to see grabs for more power for what they are.

Hopefully as Colorado has led some more stringent gun control in other states they will also lead the way in reversing this numbskull, knee jerk reaction to shootings. Go after the individual not the object.

It IS unusual for for the zealots to acknowledge their failures though. Usually, the law gets passed without regard to the consequences, they crow about it and take pictures, then quickly move on to the next thing, leaving citizens and LE scratching their collective heads and wondering exactly WTF the legalese word-salad actually means. How do we comply? How do we enforce it?

Biden is different... his outsized pride in the feckless '94 "Crime Bill" is the tone-deaf exception to the typical F-em and Forget em pattern of gun control cheerleaders. I'm still watching and waiting for the terrific news of SB941's magical efficacy... anyone? Anything? Maybe just some lies and spin... ? No? Okay... we're just F'd and Forgot. Sounds about right.
