CHL wait times

Maybe it is different in Washington, but when I went to my closest sheriffs office the wait was two months, unless I wanted to go downtown to the main office; which was a walk-in only. My wife and I went down when they opened and we walked out 30 minutes later after filling out the appropriate form and being fingerprinted. Because of the holidays, it took 5 weeks to receive it in the mail.

Sent in paperwork, about 2 weeks later i got appointment for 3 weeks out.
In and out within 15minutes with CHL.

I showed up for fingerprinting at the Clatsop County Jail on January 15. Took the fingerprint cards downstairs and turned them in at CCSO headquarters. Received my card in the mail on February 3. So, 3 weeks and 2 days for the whole thing, including the SO getting back letters they sent to two of my friends who I named as references. No complaints here!

So i emailed asking about a cancellation and i got in on Tuesday. I was in and out in 20 mins. They told me 5 weeks to get my card.

You guys are lucky. In Lane County they are scheduled out to August. That is not a typo!!

Hello, I am curious as to recent wait times fo CH licenses. Anyone renewed or applied lately that would care to share? I've seen another thread but it was outdated a bit. Im in Jackson County and am over 30 days waiting right now.

Big thumbs up for Yamhill county. One week.

At Washington County, we are currently about 4 weeks out and providing MOST CHLs the same day.

Just walk in for renewals... they give you a piece of paper on the spot that allows you to carry for 45 days until your physical license shows up. Multnomah

Mailed last Tuesday, I received appt Saturday (4 days). Appt for March 25 (about 4.5 weeks from the date mailed)

Took my class on February 21st, filed an application for clackamas county online. Went in today for finger printing and picture, walked out with it.

Marion county is sitting right at the 45 days. Got mine last week on day 46 (45th day was Sunday)

its funny. i had to wait 3 months. my dad two weeks. my brother 4 days. my wife one month and my father inlaws was one month. crazy how much it varies to get an appt

Yeah I looked last week and the schedule is only about 2 week wait. Weird. I think it just ebbs and flows based on how many new CHL applicants specifically to a county. At the class I took about half were from Marion the rest were surrounding counties.

Walked in for renewal on the 9th of June. New permit was mailed out on the 28th.

I just turned mine in 1 week ago in Polk County, will update when I have it.
I was told they have 45 days

For renewals in Marion county, about 2 weeks out for the appointment. Then 10 minutes in the office for the background check, get your picture taken, and the new card issued.

Marion County initial application was in 1991 and I have no idea how long from application to it was in my hand.

Latest renewal was in May Appointment was made about 1 month in advance. I showed up 30 min early paper work in hand. 10 min later the ladies called me back did a Quick finger print and basically handed me my renewal. I don't think the whole renewal process including walking into the building took more then 20 min.

You had to do fingerprints for a renewal? Neither the wife or I had to do that.
