You changed your story...
I didn't change any story. My back was to them when I started shooting . I have a loud booming voice and the people in question were 8 feet away . I gave warning as loud as I could. They did not respond nor did they it in hearing protection which became obvious after I was done shooting. If they choose to put in hearing protection after given adequate warning that's on them . If they don't that's on them

"Hey girls..excuse me..but i'm gonna dump a mag from my rifle here in just a bit..you may wanna put your earpro on"

How hard would that be?

Instead of attacking the OP, why not address the real elephant in the room?! They were at a gun range, EYE AND HEARiNG protection should have been on at all times no matter what! until outside of the range! This is mandatory at the range I belong to. If they wanted to lollygag around, they should have been somewhere else! My $.02 and you can take it or leave it, I don't care! :s0155: ☕

I'm sure that'll bring some heat! 🤣

They went way off to the side . It was their boyfriends shooting who laughed at them
I'm glad things didn't get worse, I also bet they will be more pro active about hearing protection while at the range, if they ever return.

Everyone should be wearing hearing and eye protection at the shooting range. I have had people experience a tissy fit shooting next to me with their hearing protection. Apparently get hit by brass is not something they were prepared for plus my guns were too loud for them, whatever.

I think the lesson to be learned here is to always deploy one of these helpers at a public range before shooting.

Lets take different perspective. I am a 18 year old kid. On my phone.
I assume the girl was an adult? Worse if they were not.

You yell... going hot? OK what does that mean?
They probably think you have clips endless ammo too.
If you observed in your words ppl not paying attention and YOU enter their realm.
The duty is on you to preserve the peace and safety not them.
And you establish that but making sure anyone near by knows.

MHO stating its a gun range, as justification?
Problem with gun groups, is that everyone assumes ppl know gun lingo.
Going Hot, dumped mag, slam fire, you see where I am going?

Anyone a boater in here?
Do you just show up at the launch park in the middle and start unloading?
Or worse you pull in and stand there for an hour unloading your boat on the ramp.

I have been a gun owner all my life, i always love when I can teach.

Since we like to shout cliches at a crowd like GOING HOT, maybe asking everyone Got Ears ?
And that probably would have went the same way. Simple courtesy in my opinion could have made you the teacher at the range.
Over the guy that just started shooting.
This is not a personal attack, I am sharing experience and knowledge of how to approach ppl you do not know at a range.
Especially one unattended.
