Brand? On there body? I've branded alot of cattle.....in fact the one sitting down kinda looked like a heifer
Brands are pretty common on gang members and convicts. And yeah I know about the fraternity thing. I had a commander in the Army who was branded.

Haha. Those are guys. The two guys had gang tats and brands. Yes, brands. We had quite a talk from what I could understand they wanted me to build them some guns. I get that a lot so it didn't phase me. The girls were just stereotypes.

Eugene .hahaha
If you haven't lived it , you probably won't get it.

What seems to be at issue here is whether or not @wired was adequately considerate before proceeding to shoot at the shooting range.

First of all, how can anyone quantify what constitutes being adequately considerate? Loudly announcing the range is hot and then giving a 15 second buffer for people to ready themselves seems beyond sufficient to me (especially if it is evident that all is clear downrange). To others here, that does not seem adequate.

My question is, how much more responsibility does anybody have in that situation to essentially think for other people? To me there is a distinct line between being courteous and enabling people to remain ignorant.

Sometimes it is more valuable to "tame" one's courteousness so that others may learn a lesson the hard way. Otherwise, the lesson doesn't seem to actually stick (in my experience).

Someone mentions gangs and now all of a sudden these girls on their phones and doing their nails are now hood rats and the OP is helping gang tat'ed out dudes (judging books by the covers??) with their shotgun shooting stance.

I do not normally deal with drama but this thread has changed tunes so many times that I can't help but hit the breaks and looky-loo at the train wreck of a thread this has been from start to whenever it burns itself out.

Knowing when you're among a certain element. I still feel relatively at home with criminals, because they were around me constantly back in my youth.

Still try to avoid them tho . And definitely don't go where they are in the majority.
That's why I usually skip family reunions. :(

Kidding! :s0108:

Since you're willing to clarify your rationale...
Could you explain what this means?
TIA.
It means if you are using ANYWHERE in the Northwest as a point of reference to what the rest of the world is like its a joke. Maybe Hilltop in Tacoma in the 80's. The people at the range were gang members . I see it all the time here and its not a big deal if you stay out of their business and dont enter their world. We have a major gang problem even in smaller towns here. Gang shootings, gang wars , drug trafficking prostitution rings , retaliations etc. I could care less about that . Just saying thats who was at the range not anyone sensible. Gangs in the NW are 1% motorcycle guys not homies in the hood.

It may be a suprise to you, but some of us in the lil ol'' PNW have been outside of our safe little bubbles; having experienced the wild world abroad.
Some of us also have enough situational awareness to know that a mag is still inserted into the well when doing a mag change.;)
