Don't be careless like I was.

Drove across town to celebrate thanksgiving at my niece's house. On the way there, I wondered if I might encounter some of that hipster protest foolishness on one of the bridges. But it was suppertime so there was none.

Like an idiot, I parked by the street and went inside to eat, leaving a Hi Point 40SW pistol in plain view on the passenger seat. I came out a couple hours later, only to discover that someone had broken into my car and left another one there with it.
