Can Oregon Owners Associations make gun laws?(they think they can)

HOA's with the associated CCR's are initially set up by the developer to help him sell all of the lots or houses in a development. Home buyers must agree to the CCR's as a condition of buying. The developer then goes away and leaves the HOA in the hands of the home owners who have to do the enforcement of the CCR's. I think most HOA's just wither away and die off due to disinterest or uneven enforcement.

HOA's can be worse than government for telling people how to live their lives. (Cut the grass, clean this, must have cedar shingles, no cars in the driveway ..... etc.)
