Washington C+R Clarification

Want to find some clarification if possible. Can C+R pistols, rifles, and shotguns be sent to your home or do they still need to be processed from a standard FFL?

From what I understand, semi auto rifles are still ffl only, but the rest should be ok?

Not sure about WA but in Oregon they still need to go through FFL unless they fit in the Antique exemption.

Back in the 90's when I had my C&R license I had rifles (including semi-autos) and pistols sent straight to my door. Oregon has passed a law since then that makes this no longer an option, effectively making a C&R license useless.

I don't know about Washington but I can make a pretty good guess.

I thought it was dead up in Washington, but I could very likely be wrong.

The C&R FFL exemption from dealer transfer of C or R is not dead (yet) in Washington. See subsection (4)(i).

RCW 9.41.113:

Note that it is not a blanket exemption from the other firearms laws.

I should also add that there are some semi auto C&R rifles which are not restricted under HB1240.

In section I its clear,

(i) A sale or transfer when the purchaser or transferee is a licensed collector and the firearm being sold or transferred is a curio or relic; or

So we are exempt form this BS Its clear as day.

The bad thing is a lot of gun wholesalers lawyers are just going to not read the law and blanket ban C&Rs which makes them just as bad as the anti-gun people. Centerfire I bought from for years and have banned the state from sales for nothing.

Hi girl. Been here when I started my seasonal ag gig in Idaho.
