I am a pretty straight forward loader. I have run into a problem this morning. I sold my Savage 30-06 and bought a Tikka T-3. I loaded up 30 shells only to find that they won't allow the bolt to close. Most of these were once or twice shot brass. I don't have any factory ammo to compare, but assume I am running into the shoulder. My question is, do I have to buy a bump die for 30-06? I have one for .308 and full size dies for 30-06.

Have you set the resizing die to full length resize the case?
A full length resize should restore the shell to factory/saami specs, and it should chamber in any factory '06 chamber.

No-Probolemo bud.
We all have the occasional brain-fart!

You should have seen what I did to a few .270 shells when I had my bullet seater die adjusted down too far.
Thankfully I caught it in the first few loads, cuz there was no saving that brass.
