Yes it is longer and heavier..Weight ? I have no clue...I have three 9mm rifle/pistol set ups . 2 take have a standard length and require a spacer in the back. If you don't have the spacer in the bolt over travels and bends the bolt catch.. Better to get the longer on in my opinion

Thanks. So using a regular carbine spring, go with either the spacer or just the longer buffer to make up the difference it sounds like.

Also classic firearms are selling adapter for p mags that turn them in to 9mm mags without having to use a block or dedicated lower..Conversions are $29 a piece

Already have a Spike's dedicated lower but appreciate the suggestion!

I went with rock river bottom loading tension blocks..Those critters cost as much as a dedicated receiver
