This weekend is the 2023 RCSA World Rimfire Challenge Championship presented by Ruger at Cavern Cove Competitive Shooting in Woodville, Alabama. CP Firearms LLC will be represented there with the #mantismk4 being shot at the worlds, for everyone to see in person..The best in the shooting sports will be at this event. After this weekend we will know where the Mantis fits in for the fastest rimfire shooters.

To all the folks dismissing or criticizing the Mantis MKIV,
Understand that this gun is bult with a very specific task in mind. To shoot rimfire speed steel where hi-cap mags are not necessary. If you don't shoot those disciplines, fine, just admire the ingenuity and engineering that went into it by two local guys passionate about building it and be on your way.
Think of it as a Top-Fuel dragster vs. Super Stock. Both are fast, but one is faster. The Mantis is faster.

As for barrel length, in these disciplines the farthest targets are 35 yards, well within the performance window of the 5 inch rifled portion of the barrel. What weight there is, is centered directly over the shooting hand making it almost perfectly balanced.
