For all my fellow rimfire race gunners out there that may have not seen or heard about the new Mantis Mk4, then check out the link below. It's been making the rounds at most of the local rimfire steel challenge/speed steel matches. My pre order is already in and you should get your's in too! :D

To all the folks dismissing or criticizing the Mantis MKIV,
Understand that this gun is bult with a very specific task in mind. To shoot rimfire speed steel where hi-cap mags are not necessary. If you don't shoot those disciplines, fine, just admire the ingenuity and engineering that went into it by two local guys passionate about building it and be on your way.
Think of it as a Top-Fuel dragster vs. Super Stock. Both are fast, but one is faster. The Mantis is faster.

As for barrel length, in these disciplines the farthest targets are 35 yards, well within the performance window of the 5 inch rifled portion of the barrel. What weight there is, is centered directly over the shooting hand making it almost perfectly balanced.
