"Two archery hunters were attacked by a sow (female) grizzly bear Wednesday near Sandpoint, Idaho.

The hunters were walking in the Upper Pack River area when they had a surprise encounter with a grizzly bear and its cubs in the Apache Ridge area.

The bear attacked the hunters, but not before they were able to deploy their bear spray. Amazingly, only one was injured and was released from the hospital that day with stitches.

Both men were able to walk out of the backcountry."
