I've got two. Anus, and MDK (murder death kill). I am not friends with anus at all. She stays out of my way and I let her live here. MDK keeps my property from being overrun by rodents and earns his keep. He's okay with me!

My ex had cats, I am mildly allergic. Our eldest cat was a real lover, until a switch in his brain flipped, and he decides he wants to chew and claw your arm off.

Some "house cats" get pretty damn big. If one of them goes feral? I could see this happening. Anyone who has ever been around feral cats that are a couple generations from the "pets" they started as has seen this. These animals if they are able to survive that long turn into something that looks NOTHING like the pets so many of us have. I very much doubt the cat could have been going at him as food but, could easily see it attacking out of fear or territory.

I lived in the Arroyo Grande area for about 20 years. It's where I got my first hunting license. I used to go hunting back behind Lopez Lake and up around Hi Mountain Road. TONS of quail back then! I loved it!

I never saw a mountain lion myself, but I've hunted with others who have. I have seen a few bobcats in that area that looked about the size of an adult German Shepherd. And I was with a buddy that shot one that not much smaller than that, so there are 'large cats' in the area.

But I'm thinking the guy probably saw a very large feral cat and didn't know the difference... not surprising if he went to AGHS. (Class of '80. GO EAGLES! )



I'd never go back, but I do miss the quail hunting there.
