I also have these wood ones which a a lot of fun and the multi pack which I haven't had a chance to try on a regular dart board yet, but setting one up is on the to do list.

The dang thing is surprisingly stupidly accurate.

Either it's just an easy weapon to pick up, I have muscle memory from 35+ years ago or I'm just naturally talented with it lol.

Anyway I would highly recommend picking one up.

Now that I know I can use it as a 30" or 60" I would stay with the .625 bore size as that seems to have the largest variety of darts and accessories for it.

Oh and here are the wood ones I've tried and the multi pack I haven't.

this is going to make me end up buying one of these. No doubt the Wife unit will be like "what's that for?" I suspect she will soon be playing with it though too :s0140:

We used to make them from a piece of PVC pipe, a nail, and a rolled-up piece of paper.

Surprisingly accurate.
We did I that when I lived overseas. No nails. We would use 1/3 of a sheet of magazine paper long ways and spend the evening before making bags of darts and then split into 2 teams the next day and cause havoc across the whole camp.

Good times

Ok, I've been wanting to do this for quite a few weeks and it was worth all of the wait and a little bit of effort…

I took on of the hammerhead all plastic blow darts and drilled a hole in it just the right size of one of the really loud snap type poppers we got a few packs of at the 4th of July (I don't think these are considered fireworks but I kept it inside just in case lol).

I put the popper in the dart and shot it at my 4,000lb safe made in 1911. It made an extremely satisfying bang, flash and shot the dart just about back to me.

To be honest I was almost giggling like a little kid. Partly because it worked and mostly because I shot a dart and made a small explosion.

It was fun but pulling what was left out of the dart was a little bit of a pain and I'm not sure how many times it will work before it destroys the dart but it is worth it for sure!!

Ok I'm a dork sometimes….

We never really grow up - and letting that kid side of ourselves loose once in awhile is a blast.

Now you have my inventor-brain thinking up ways to make the explosive tip more powerful…. Black powder "dart" out of a potato gun?
