Attempted Takeover of FedEx Flight 705

Do those of you that are old enough remember this story from 1994? I was out of the country most of that year so I never heard it until today.

A FedEx Second Officer tried to take over one of their DC-10's by attacking the pilots and trying to crash the plane. In the ensuing struggle, the pilot rolled the plane and then put it into a dive, pushing the plane faster than anyone else ever had. It's a hell of a story.

What a fight to take place in air and the plane banking and flipping.

I read the book. They found bloody footprints on the ceilings cockpit.
The G forces of that desperate maneuver sheared the bolts off of the tails leading edge counter balance which weighs over 600 lbs.
