Im always a instant too. Only time i got put in the que was a 7 gun purchase. No idea why I get instant approval, maybe cause ive had so many background checks as a ex fed

My name is excruciatingly rare, plus have had prior FBI/NRC background done.

Some approved a few days, some a few weeks, a couple nearing a month.

I've never waited for a month, but I had a dealer release a rifle to me on the 3 day deal once. I'm usually approved fairly quickly, but there were a couple of hiccups when the Federal administration was Democrat. Seriously.
