AR pistol in .308?

I don't trust a short gas system with the AR design. Pressures are too high when the bolt starts moving. The HK91 system has no gas system so it works on any barrel length.

DSA 308 pistol above is a piston FAL design, so no gas system. I do believe they are actively selling them in what QTY I have no idea.

Didn't Olympic Arms make a .308 AR pistol at some point in time long ago? Also I recall that was the reason why .308 got added to the AP no-sale ammo list too because of that pistol. I remember reading about it long ago, but can't remember the source.
