I shot some Buffalo Bore +P .380 hardcast through an LCP. Not bad at all. Good groups. More kick of course, but not at all like I had thought. Really got the metal plates moving also.

My personal preference is to load my carry gun with ammo that I can afford to practice with. For me, that means the Remington standard-pressure 115 gr JHP's in 9mm, and the Remington 125 gr JHP's in .38+P. They are both available at my local Bi-Mart for around $15-$18 for a box of 50. They may not be the best options in terms of pure terminal ballistics, but I know how they kick, where they hit, and in the case of the 9mm I am 100% certain of their reliable function in my G26 and KelTec P11. To me, familiarity and reliability are far more important than bullet velocity or expansion.
