Its pretty strange.
I just wanted to know if anyone could determine the source.
The headline that took me there was......
"2014, Americas last year of freedom"
Kind of gave me the creeps.

I have a hunch its russian origin, but the whois shows ca ???

Whoever it is, they aren't worried about their freedom. The domain is registered until Nov 2022.

The site was updated mid-November and within a few days there were files transferred to visitors that were undetected by antivirus software. The IP address also has an open ftp port...

I wouldn't visit it. And suggest removing the link.

There are no viruses there at this time.
I scanned it well. The FTP port doesnt matter except things can be loaded there if open, but nothing detectable there now. i would not recommend logging into any ftp port you do not know.
What is the source for that information? Curious. It just looks like a very poorly built website.
Look at the source code. Its crap.
