Exactly!Been doing it for 30 plus years,am not a nazi, they were evil bastards but this stuff is a part of history.
Wait a second.....your into muzzle loaders??I used to collect WWI and WWII items and firearms....
That was fun and interesting...then my interest shifted...sold most of that ...and got into muzzle loading.

Perfectly summarized,as usual.History is history....it does not care if you like it...or agree with it.
It is simply a record of what happened.
I can understand people's dislike of certain items or symbols . etc....
I can also understand the many reasons why people collect those same items.
Speaking only for myself....
I met and and became friends with many Germans when stationed in Germany....
Some of whom served during WWII...in The Heer , The Waffen SS and The Luftwaffe ...
A few were also in the SS.
Something to consider with SS....
It was a vast organization....with "fingers in many pies" so to speak....it damn touched on every aspect of daily life at one time.
Many folks who were in the SS had nothing to do with the "Final Solution" or the like.
Please note that the above is not an excuse / apology or denial....
Nazism was bad to say the least...and its polices enslaved millions and cause the death of millions.
I hope we never see its like again.

.
And that's why America rules. My mother would NEVER have allowed any Nazi paraphernalia in our home. She had 3 brothers that served in Europe during the war. Dad was less boisterous about it just because he served in the South Pacific. Mom viewed book burning as the worst crime known to man, let alone the war crimes committed by some.
I too view Nazi collections strange. Like collecting the obituary's of young children.
Just my .02.
