Eugene / others - I have a newly retired friend in Beaverton who is willing to teach. PM me.
My guess is he could do this in his garage/driveway.

I have some decorative poles in my garden he made. And have eaten from the Smokers he has built.

Wish I had my gear here, I would be happy to pass on what I know!
Harbor Freight has a pretty decent auto dark helmet for a awesome starter set up, don't knock them, they work, and you can get replacement lens covers every where for them, try that with the big name brands!
Practice, Practice, Practice, and then practice some more!
