You will find only a tiny fraction of available aftermarket Ruger parts in local stores, there is far too much variety and too little demand for a standalone store to pay to carry the inventory.

So ...

Online is your best option. Brownells, Volquartson, Midway etc. Will give you access to all the many options available.

I understand, some things just have to be held before buying.

I was in a store 60 miles from home last year in the Seattle area and they carried the full Tandemkross selection. So not unheard of, some stores are worth the trip.
 
You say that like it's a bad thing, I don't want stores to disappear and only have warehouses that deliver something you can only see in "internet" picture.
Meh. It was more of an observation. The reality though, is that there will be more Sears and Blockbuster.
 
Although not local, I like Tandem Cross.
