Oh Goodie! Our streets are literally crumbling. Downtown buildings are loosing tenants and the owners are declaring bankruptcy. The homeless population is fouling the city with garbage and human waste, mostly drug addicted, and are becoming violent. Criminals run free because feckless todd whalen and mike schmidt show are sitting on their thumbs doing nothing. Hundred of cars are stolen every month and there is zero penalty for those steeling. Businesses are closing in potland because they can not slam thieves to the ground and have them locked up. And Migus Mapps is going to make a place in downtown potland where gasoline/diesel vehicles are forbidden? What the flock is the matter with these people?

Putting tons and tons of concrete into little ramps the look like oversized "Matchbox Car" infrastructure sticking out in traffic lanes. Purposely stifling traffic flow. And in the last year, the state has given 82nd Ave to the city. Oh, they've got some big plans for that! And you know that efficient traffic flow is NOT on the agenda! The other thing that purposely restricting traffic does is it forces peopel to drive on residential streets instead. Then people complain of too much traffic, driving too fast, interfering with bicycles etc. drivers have no choice if they want to get somewhere in many cases. There is a reason that google maps sends cars on residential streets now (because the main arterials are completely plugged due to purposeful traffic restrictions). Having a 4 lane road turn into a two lane road with a center turn made that is 2 lanes wide is F'ing idiotic and helps no one.

Burglaries: 22

Vehicles stolen: 21

Assault: 20

Theft: 38

Does not include about 60 or so disturbance and disturbance priority many of which are shootings. The shootings I have heard personally have all been recorded as "disturbance", not shooting

Probably categorized as assault but just a guess. Seems like most everything is just called "disturbance". I've called in and tell them exactly how many shots etc, and it still shows up as "disturbance". Not sure if it is to pad the numbers, incompetence, or what but 4 out of 4 shootings I have either called in on or heard and then followed up on were listed as "disturbance" or "disturbance-priority".

Btw, 14 shootings in the last 12 hours in Pdx.
