It's essentially a competition cartridge, but if a guy want's a screaming 9mm bullet it will do the job. I have zero use for one myself.Very little commercial ammo for this.
What do you want one for?
Same reason as always, more is better. I see a 1911 capable of shooting 4 different calibers- 40 s&w, 357 sig, 10mm, and 9x23. Four barrels and recoil springs, two different mags.Very little commercial ammo for this.

I just buy a pistol in the caliber I want. And my needs won't be the same as yours as I prefer the 1911 in the original caliber. of .45ACP.Same reason as always, more is better. Additionally with a ported barrel, muzzle rise is reduced for faster follow up shots.
Btw competition can be viewed as training for real life.
Nothing wrong with that. I dont see any advantage for self defense purposes but a 10 or 9x25 would be some potent bear medicine, plus it would just be fun to have the options if you want. It might be a lot of setup time if there are zero differences. Either a 1911 or a Glock 20 platform would get you going.Same reason as always, more is better. I like 45 acp but I think (real) 10mm is better in most cases, more power, more capacity, and faster follow ups.I just buy a pistol in the caliber I want. And my needs won't be the same as yours as I prefer the 1911 in the original caliber. of .45ACP.
A bottle neck 9x25 will likely feed betterI like 45 acp but I think (real) 10mm is better in most cases, more power, more capacity, and faster follow ups.
I'd go 9x23 win over 9x25 dillion
In regards to more is better, .357 sig out of a 6" barrel is 640 fpe for s&b regular range ammo. Compare to 360ish for for 9mm. 10mm people are very familiar with but .357 sig is often ignored. Can be a lot of firepower in a pdw/pistol size with a happy stick, non moving red dot, brace, and compensator.Same reason as always, more is better.
