UPDATE: City Marshal Brian Pope has confirmed that the shooter is dead. Six were injured.

According to The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette, City Marshal Brian Pope confirmed to them that six people were injured and that the shooter is dead.
Police haven't released any other official information.
