Don't know if we have any surgeons in the group but a para told me if this stuff gets poured in a wound, the surgeon has to spend his time cutting it all out.

Modern stuff, no. Incorrect.

Basically wash it out…which they would need to do anyway to prevent infection. With that said, I have taken some trauma medicine classes and they recommend the gauze for packing puncture (gun shot) wounds. Works better and comes out faster.
